Cheer Fundamentals

JOIN our 6 Week Program designed to introduce ATHLETES to the fun and exciting SPORT of All-Star Cheer! Our Cheer Fundamentals class is a non-competitive, low-cost program for athletes ages 5-12 years. We will focus on proper techniques for motions, jumps, and basic stunting in a fun environment. Classes are once a week. Show off for parents at the end of the session!

Ages: 5-12

SHOWTEAM (1)

Show Teams

Our famous Show Team is a cheerleading team that is for children ages 3-5. Show Team performs at 3 local competitions and their practices are one hour per week. Show Team performs a 1:30 routine that consists of dance, tumbling, cheer, and jumps. This is one of our most requested programs in the gym! Your little cheerleader is bound to have tons of fun while learning how to be a great teammate!

Ages: 3-5

Prep-Team

All-Star Prep is an entry-level team designed for athletes 5-18 yrs. old that is offered as an introduction to traditional All-Star Cheer. Prep focuses on the fundamentals of cheerleading, while learning teamwork, cheers, motions, jumps and stunts. Teams will have practice once a week for 2 hours each and will compete at 5 local competitions. This is a great stepping stone to prepare athletes wanting to move up to our All-Star program or those wanting to experience competitive cheer with less practice time. All-Star Prep is a great way for young athletes to learn new skills while building teamwork, goal-setting, sportsmanship, and making lifelong friendships.

ALL-STAR

All-Star Cheer

All-Star cheerleading is when cheer squads compete against each other at a competition. At a typical cheerleading competition, teams perform a 2:30 minute routine with music that includes stunts, jumps, tumbling and other common cheerleading techniques. Teams are judged by a panel of cheerleading experts on difficulty and execution. We believe that All-Star Cheerleading is more than just cheerleading. We believe that All-Star Cheerleading helps children learn teamwork, accountability, responsibility and performance under pressure.

2012 One

Cheer 101

Our Cheer 101 program offers weekly one hour classes focusing on the fundamentals of cheerleading such as cheers, motions, jumps and stunts. Cheer 101 is a great way for an athlete to learn about the basics of cheerleading, including school cheer. Ages 4 and up!

2012 One

Jumps/Flyer Class

Jumps and Flyers class is not just for flyers, but all athletes! Students will work on the body’s flexibility, stretching, and balance. They also will work on all of their splits and pull body positions on stunt stands such as libs, heel stretches, bows, scales, and scorpions. Students will learn proper arm placements in their jumps as well as core body strength to lift and rotate their legs. Strength and conditioning will be provided to ensure each student is jumping and snapping their legs back down with feet landing together. T-jumps, toe touches, hurdlers, and pikes will be incorporated into the drills for the class.
